If your furnace runs out of fuel during cold periods, survivors will begin freezing. Frozen survivors cannot work, meaning production stops. If the situation persists, survivors can die permanently. Always stockpile extra fuel before blizzards.

Whiteout Survival uses regional servers. Australian and Oceania players are generally grouped together for optimal latency. You can check your server region in the settings menu.
